The first World's Fair was held in 1851.

The Great Exhibition of the Works of Industry of All Nations, commonly referred to as the Great Exhibition of 1851 or the Crystal Palace Exhibition, was the first true worlds fair. It opened May 1, 1851, and closed October 15, 1851.
