Christmas trees can be made fire-resistant using the following recipe:
Mix in a bucket:
- 2 cups corn syrup
- 2 ounces liquid chlorine bleach
- 2 pinches Epsom salts
- teaspoon borax
- 1 teaspoon chelated iron
- 2 gallons hot water
Use the solution to water the tree every day. Chelated iron is available at garden supply centers.
